Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coder I - ProFee to abstract data
from medical records and code diagnoses and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Abstract data from medical records into Epic and 3M 360 for
detailed case summaries
Identify and code diagnoses and procedures according to ICD-10-CM
and CPT-4 guidelines
Responsible for coding ED, Diagnostic, and Ancillary records, as
well as Documentation Quality Assurance
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
1 year of outpatient coding experience preferred
Completion of a coding course or equivalent experience
Minimum of one coding certification (CPC, COC, CPC-P, CCS, CRC,
CIC, RHIT, or RHIA) required
Other specialty certifications from AAPC or AHIMA will be
considered
